January 18, 2017 – Chief Priest Of Benin Kingdom Nosakhare Isekhure Suspended By Oba Of Benin For Negligence Of Duty
Tension took over the entire Benin Kingdom in Edo state yesterday when the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Nedo Uku Akpokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11 suspended the Chief Priest of Benin Kingdom, Nosakhare Isekhure for allegedly neglecting his duty.
According to the revered monarch, the Chief priest of the ancient kingdom allegedly neglected and downgraded the powers of the traditional stool during the coronation of Oba Ewuare 11 last year and during the death and burial of late monarch Oba Erediauwa.
